At minimum, upon a successful application, you will be required to do the following in your first year of membership: complete the Fire Firefighter I or its equivalent, attend a minimum of six (6) monthly corporation meetings, attend a minimum 2 trainings per quarter. This is the minimum required in order for you to be considered for full membership after an initial one (1) year probationary period.

It further attests that all information contained in this application is true and accurate, and any false or misleading information will result in grounds for immediate termination of your application’s consideration by this department.

You also acknowledges that you have given permission for the Skaneateles Fire Department, Inc. or their designee to conduct a criminal and traffic background check, as well as contact all present and past employers.
