Busy start to 2018!
Mon, Jan 15th, 2018 10:53:00 am - As of January 15th, the members of the Skaneateles Fire Department have responded to 26 calls this year!  On Friday January 12th alone, the members answered 12 calls for assistance which included car accidents, fire alarms and numerous water related calls.  A huge thank you to all of those that responded. ...Continued

2018 High Stakes Raffle

Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation Awards Grant to SFD

 
Thu, Aug 24th, 2017 10:00:00 am - Continuing its mission of supporting hometown heroes,the  Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation awarded the Skaneateles Fire Department a grant valued at $14,319 to purchase a 2017 SeaDoo personal watercraft.  The awarded watercraft will be used in search and rescue missions on Skaneateles Lake and surrounding waterways, improving the department's lifesaving capabilities. ...Continued

Skaneateles FD responds mutual aid to New Hope FD for house fire
Mon, Aug 14th, 2017 2:00:00 am - At 1:27 a.m. the Skaneateles Fire Department was dispatched to stand-by at Skaneateles Station #1 since New Hope and surrounding Cayuga County fire departments were onscene of a house fire on State Route 38A.  Approximately 20 minutes into the call, Skaneateles was requested to the scene with an engine and SCBA personnel.  Skaneateles Car 1, Engine 12 and Engine 31 responded to the scene and assisted with ...Continued
